On Thursday, December 29th The ShowRoom in Asbury Park will celebrate the Bouncing Souls fifth-annual Home for the Holidays shows, a four-night residency at The Stone Pony, with a very special screening of The Other F Word. The documentary chronicles a rarely-seen look at the lives of punk rock fathers and features The Bouncing Souls’ song “Kids and Heroes,” off the New Brunswick collective’s 2003 album Anchors Aweigh, as part of the doc’s soundtrack.
At the conclusion of the screening, The Souls’ drummer Michael McDermott will discuss his personal experiences as a punk rock father. Joining McDermott on stage as a panel member for the Q&A session will be New Jersey musician and author Jon Caspi who’s 2011 full-lnegth release, The Little Ones, which was produced by Souls’ guitarist Pete Steinkopf, landed at No. 26 on SIMGE’s list of favorite records from 2011.
