On April 20th, Thomas Wesley Stern (a band…not a man) performed a set of tunes for patrons of the Belmar Arts Council in support of the outfit’s 2012 debut full-length, American Pain, and managed to slip into its set a series of new numbers, one of which, “Just,” was recorded on site and released yesterday morning.
The four-man string band’s latest acoustic guitar-driven composition features the rustic multi-part harmony that has become somewhat of a trademark for the Folk collective, as well as a rarely plucked six string solo, all contributing the deliverance of a message of strength and the ability to withstand life’s trials and tribulations…whatever your test might be.
Check the song out below and stay tuned for a bunch of new performance dates coming soon from the Jackson, NJ-based Thomas Wesley Stern.
