Anberlin Releases New Track Off It’s Upcoming Album “Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place”

Floridian Alt. Rock collective Anberlin has released “Pray Tell,” a track off Dark Is The Way, Light Is a Place,  the band’s fifth full-length album, due out on September 7th.  One band representative said “I feel like we’re on the brink of something… either world domination or destruction but either way were on the brink (”

There is another “D” this unknown voice forgot to mention…fucking “Depression.”

This song leaves behind no trace of the hard rocking five-piece that has played past Warped Tours with fire in their bowels, angst on the brain, and Christ in their hearts.

Crunching guitar riffs have been replaced by meandering, rain-drop fret work.  Pounding drums traded out for an electronically generated beat.

I’m not a huge fan of Anberlin by any means and even I found “Pray Tell” disappointing.  I can’t imagine what their true supporters will think.  I’m sure they’ll accept it.  Religious folk have a thing for forgiveness.  May Anberlin’s sins against music be wiped clean.
