New Music Review: First Single From Kanye & Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne Drops

The first single from Kanye and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne is dangerously close to having too much singing for my liking, but the savage rhymes spit by the tag team champions of the rap game are more than enough for me to get past the crooning.

Don’t be confused by the title of this track, “H.A.M.” has nothing to do with the pork product and this sure as shit isn’t a religious manifesto.  H.A.M. stands for Hard As a Motherfucker and these two titans of rhyme are sure to silence all the doubters, including myself, by the second verse when Jay-Z starts spitting about playing chicken with mac trucks, swimming with great whites, and late nights on the streets with vultures…it’s scary stuff.

The question remains, can a project headed by two best fire breathers in the business possibly live up to the hype?  If this track is an accurate depiction for what’s in store, the answer is a resounding yes.
