New Music Review: Wanda Jackson & Jack White Shoot Lighting Into Dylan’s “Thunder On The Mountain”

With the release of Wanda Jackson’s, Jack White produced, The Party Ain’t Over on the horizon (due out on Tuesday), the pair of decided to tackle Bob Dylan’s “Thunder On The Mountain,” and destroyed it…and I mean in that in the best way possible.

The 73-year old Jackson’s voice has aged like the finest of Merlots.  Her range seems to have no bounds and yet she is still able to grind her vocal chords with a raspy screech that bluesmen and women have coveted for a long time.  Oh yeah, and before I forget, Jack White performs four savage guitar solos.  The pair has made a good song great.
