Quincy Mumford & The Reason Why Set Date For New Release, Speak
Quincy Mumford & The Reason Why have announced that Speak, the band’s third studio record, will be released in grand fashion on April 9th at The Wonder Bar where the outfit will hold its CD release party.
“If you liked the past two you are really going to like this one,” wrote Mumford in the band’s newsletter. “Most of the songs on this record are very upbeat, funky, and groovin for sure.”
Mumford went on to write that from a large collection of potential tracks, he weeded a lot out and found “10 songs that are really killer.”
“The cool thing about the album,” continued Mumford, “is that I had the chance to work with a bunch of well known, amazing musicians and people.
According to Mumford, the CD release party is going to be something special as the band will be accompanied by a full brass section and “a ton of special guest celebrity musicians.”
Stay tuned for more information on the night including bands on the undercard and a possible review of the record. For details on the record release party click here…and in the meantime enjoy “Lifted,” off the band’s 2009 sophomore album South Edgemere.
