Place: Asbury Lanes
Time: 8 p.m.
Tonight, Lost In Society, one of Asbury’s top Punk acts, and White Plains, NY Ska-Punkabilly outfit, American Pinup, kick off their Transmission Lost Tour, a series of nine dates from the 10th to the 25th (seven of which will take place in our great Garden State), at the Boardwalk’s premier 10-pin penthouse, Asbury Lanes.
As reported prior, the pair of Punk acts have collaborated on a 10-track split release that was rumored to be coming out sometime this month, however, according to Lost In Society’s front-man Zach Moyle, due to an unforeseen setback, the release is now expected sometime in September.
The lead single from Lost In Society’s contribution to the split, “Not Afraid,” as well an exclusive track, “Wrong Direction,” can be heard here.
Headlining this event will be the teen outfit Emily’s Army that features Joey Armstrong, the talented offspring of Billy Joe Armstrong, also known as the brains of Green Day’s operation. Although I’m sure the angsty young Armstrong and his crew of brooding Punks are tired of the press placing that tid bit in every lead paragraph, but its a prominent piece of information…my apologies.
Listen below to the Billy Joe produced troupe sing about corrupt athletes they used to like:
