Last weekend, Jeff “Spags” Spagnola, the stick wielder of End Of An Era, celebrated a birthday and tomorrow evening at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch the party continues as the Toms River-based Metal lords will lead their loyal army of the walking dead and a stacked lineup of local acts into a riotous rager.
Accompanying End Of An Era is one of the boardwalk’s best, the angry molten explosion that is The Obvious. The angsty Punk-Rock outfit, featuring a fire breathing songstress in a sundress, Angie Sugrim, on vocals and guitar, recently cut its sophomore EP in the Asbury Park studio of Bouncing Souls’ guitar maestro Pete “The Pete” Steinkopf, of which I will have more information for all of you faithful readers shortly. The Pete also produced the band’s 2010 debut release, Bringing Wreck, upon which this next track resides:

Come on out, enjoy the festivities presented by Black Dinosaur Entertainment, and be sure to pick up End Of An Era’s self-titled debut full-length, one of SIMGE’s favorites of 2011.
