Venue: Asbury Lanes
Doors: 8 p.m.
Tonight, Asbury Lanes plays host to a loaded lineup of local outfits curated by the headliner, The Amboys, that will be releasing its Led Into The Woods EP, the follow up to 2010’s Everything Between The Moon & The Sun.
The Indie-Rocking boardwalkers have tapped the likes of Thomas Wesley Stern, a four-man string band that’s 2011 debut EP Hope Folk has quickly become a favorite of mine in the short time I’ve had it. Thomas Wesley Stern was in the backwoods of New Egypt, NJ yesterday finishing up a Sun Session EP recorded via solar power by J.R. Skola (Dawn Of Man) and Kevin Grossman (Karmic Juggernaut) in the pairs mobile studio. Look for more on that in the near future.

Also performing will be Brooklyn’s only Indie-Rock outfit named after a founding father, the exceptionally explosive Ben Franklin.
Also on hand will be thee mysterious, thee genre-hopping, Thee Vampire Bats, that, like Dracula before them, take on a different persona and identity with each blood letting number, ranging from fuzz covered Glam-Rock, to crunchy Garage-Punk, to Folk-Rock at its finest. Grab the band’s low-fi tunes for free here.

Rounding out the bill is the raucous Toms River Indie-Rock collective Elevator Art, a late addition to the show, and even greater incentive for you to turn out.
NOTE: Jackson, NJ Soulful Folk-Rockers, Mad Feather Group, will be in the building and are rumored to be another last minute addition. Nothing confirmed, but its a total possibility.
