The Obvious Part Ways With Drummer Kevin Conroy

Last night one of The Boardwalk’s top Punk acts, The Obvious, announced it would be splitting with its stick wielder of two years, Kevin Conroy who is seeking other endeavors on the West Coast.

Conroy will have played on both of the band’s EPs, its 2010 debut release Bringing Wreck, and a forthcoming record that has yet to be named, both of which have been recorded under the watchful eye and well-seasoned ear of the legendary Bouncing Souls guitar maestro Pete “The Pete” Steinkopf in his Asbury-based recording studio.

The search has commenced for a new drummer but front-woman Angie Sugrim has admitted that no replacement has been considered yet because its still too soon in the process.

An unofficial short list of hopefuls includes Dave Grohl, Chad Channing, and Brian Chase.

NOTE: The list above is completely fabricated.

Stay tuned for more info on the resolution of this situation as well as details on The Obvious’ upcoming album…For now, go download Bringing Wreck for free here and sample “Don’t Match” below:
