The East Brunswick-based Indie-Rock outfit, Root Glen, will be releasing its second EP of the year, and the second of four planned installments of a seasonal project the band embarked upon this Summer, on Saturday for free download via its Bandcamp account.

“We’re excited for this release,” explained the group’s stick wielder Erik Blank in an e-mail exchange.  “Its going to show an edgier side to our music.”

The recording process for Root Glen’s forthcoming record was conducted in Blank’s basement, and bass plucker Andres Gonzalez’s lair, and was halted when Hurricane Irene acted like a total jerk.

Check out the first track from the Fall EP below:

You should also head out to Rolf’s Bar & Grille in Warren, NJ on Saturday night where the band will have its official release party.  Show starts at 10 p.m. and will run until about 1 a.m.
