Let Us Give Thanks…River City Extension Is Coming Home For The Holiday

By Greg Schwartz, Contributing Writer & Asbury’s Premier Spoken Word Artist

How do, eight musicians keep eight musicians, sounding like their future is present in each note?

See River City Extension for the answer on how to be of the moment.

River City Extension’s 2nd Annual Homecoming Show,
returns to The Stone Pony Wednesday November 23.

This night before Thanksgivings’ performance is a FOOD DRIVE.
RCE requests that everyone attending the show please bring a canned good.
You will be entered in a raffle to win a pretty insane merch package.
Times are tough for everyone, and it’s important that we help those in need!

RCE asks everyone to dress up as close to their Sundays best as comfort allows.
For this Homecoming is a breath of respect and a thank you to the community of their family, which is all of us.

After a summer of touring, including high profile gigs at Newport Folk Festival,
Bamboozle, Banoaroo, and the Warped Tour, their summer was topped off by a six-song half-hour opening set for the Avett Brothers, and Devotchka, at the Holmdel PNC Art Center’s final show of the 2011 season.

RCE was nominated for seven Asbury Music Awards,
Taking home four: Top Live Performance; Top Local Release;
Top Americana; and one for Nic Cucci as Top Multi Instrumentalist.

River City Extension’s new music is set for an early May 2012 release.
Recorded in 25 days with Brian Deck at Engine Music Studios, Chicago, IL.
The 14 song collection is entitled Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Your Anger

River City Extension is part of Australia’s six show 2012 Soundwave Festival.
A national tour throughout the summer follows.

For RCE home is an eight and a half person van for a band of eight,
with enough room for the space between infinite spirit and eternal heart.

River City Extension’s 2nd Annual Homecoming Show, returns to the Stone Pony Wednesday November 23, Featuring Waking Lights, Wild Rompit, Prairie Empire, and The Front Bottoms.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Show-time is 7:30 p.m.; $15 at the Door…Please Bring a Canned Good, Please be Generous.
