One night after helping Elevator Art releases its forthcoming Tent City EP at The Brighton Bar, The Amboys will head up Ocean Avenue to The Stone Pony where the Boardwalk’s Best Rock Band, as selected by a collection of its peers and other area music enthusiasts at the 19th Annual Asbury Music Awards, will share a bill with Asbury favorite Jesse Malin & The St. Mark’s Social…check out the band’s 2010 single “Burning The Bowery” below:

The Amboys dropped its sophomore full-length release, and one of SIMGE’s favorites of 2011, Led Into The Woods, which was nominated at the aforementioned awards show for Best Local Release, as was track three of the record, “One Of Those Nights,” for Song Of The Year, which you can grab, along with the rest of the collection, for free here.

Also performing is the Washington, DC Rock collective U.S. Royalty, the creator of Mirrors, another 2011 full-length record that’s made itself at home in the mind of this writer.  Check out the outfit’s lead single, “Equestrian,” below:

Doors are at 7 p.m. with $20 cover charge to be paid at the door.  Advance tickets are $15…don’t miss it.
