Jersey-bred and New York-based Trash-Pop duo, The Gay Blades, was slated to play The Stone Pony with the dirty, Strokes-like, James Wells (Clark Westfield)-managed Cold Fronts. The performance was to act as an after party for The Gaslight Anthem’s performance down the street at the Convention Hall with Bayside and New Brunswick Pop-Punks Let Me Run.
According to The Gay Blades, the outfit’s forthcoming vinyl releases of Ghosts (2007) and Savages (2010) will be available sooner rather than later, and recently revealed artwork for the former, which will include bonus 7′ (what’s on that bonus piece has not yet been revealed) and a pop-up gate fold, much like your favorite children’s book.
According to The Stone Pony, this performance will be rescheduled and any tickets purchased in advance will be honored at this later date…I imagine that means the discounted $5 entrance fee with the presentation of a Gaslight Anthem ticket stub will still honored.
