Shayfer James Writes A Song For New Years Eve, Playing Maxwell’s This Month w/Those Mockingbirds

On the morn of New Years Eve the sinister piano man of the New Jersey underground, Shayfer James, dropped a subdued ballad in honor of the holiday, a haunting lo-fi home recording that’s title begs the question “What Are You Doin’ New Years Eve?”

James’ rolling croon rumbles forth over downtrodden piano chords in the song for the lonesome connecting with the listener who sat at home on Saturday hoping that special someone would choose there lips to kiss at midnight…grab it below and be sure to check out James tonight at Ella Lounge in New York City and especially on January 20th alongside Birdhand at Maxwell’s for Those Mockingbirds vinyl release party of the Montclair outfit’s 2011 EP Fa Sol La, which landed at No. 12 on SIMGE’s Top 18 EPs Of 2011 list.
