The Morristown, NJ Folk-Rock four-piece, Lightning Jar, continued upon it’s impressive ascent to the top of the Boardwalk’s burgeoning blue-collar music scene with a captivating, yet brief, set of melodious tunes akin to those of Fleet Foxes with multi-part harmonies, led by an amalgamation of varied string slashing, to match.

Midway through its performance the outfit’s acoustic guitar maestro, Sean Marshall, announced that Lightning Jar’s debut full-length record, which is having the final touches placed upon it by Anthony Defabritus (Accidental Seabirds) and company at AntFarm Studio in Freehold, NJ, will officially be dropped at a release party in March.  Stay tuned for more details on the record and the show, and if you’re feeling generous contribute to the group’s Kickstarter fund here.
