LOD Night 1: Outside The Box Plays The Lanes For The Time

As the most recent incarnation of The Stone Pony House Band, one would be hard pressed to find a Boardwalk haunt this Bluesified Pop-Rock outfit hasn’t shaken to its sand-caked foundations up and down the Jersey coast line, let alone in the town it owns, thus, those in attendance on Thursday evening at Asbury’s premier 10-pin penthouse and music locale witnessed something special:                Outside The Box wowing a crowd at Asbury Lanes for the first time.

Outside The Box drew roars from the patronage of Punkabillies with a shortened set, due to festival parameters, of cuts from the group’s debut full-length Bridege, which landed at No. 9 on SIMGE’s Top 27 Albums of 2011 list, including its raucous opening salvo “Love Is The Villain”…and you can see it below.
