“This next song, we’re dedicating to Dragana [Drobnjak – keys],” explained The Grains front-man Scott Kenny to the Asbury Lanes congregation that assembled in the name of the vintage Punk palace’s annual evening of gritty rage-tunes.  “Her dog was actually hit by a car yesterday, he’s fin now, but it was awful at the time.”

The outfit proceeded to run through “Rescue Dog” a number not included on Stone Street, The Grains 2011 full-length debut, but one cut from the same charred and abrasive musical fabric of that 10-track collection.

The four-man, one-woman, group opened with “Geraldine,” a three-minute rage-tune akin to those penned by The Sonics back in the ’60s.  Grab the track below and be sure to check out The Grains at The Loft in New Brunswick on February 10th with Secret Photos and Brick Mower.  Doors are at 8 p.m. with a cover of $5 to be paid upon entrance…more details here.
