Joanna Burns Covers Adele…And Whitney Houston…On One Track

“Everyone’s doing Adele. Everyone’s doing Whitney. I figured I’d do everything at one time,” wrote Hazlet, NJ native Joanna Burns to preface the latest addition to her weekly Video Shmidio series, in which the songstress covers a favorite artist of her’s and release it on the interwebs every Tuesday.

Burns pretty much said it all in her statement above, as she chose to tackle a pair of the most  buzzed about artists in recent history, Adele, for her lush vocals and six Grammys carted home from the most recent awards night, and Whitney Houston, for her wonderful career past, unflattering headlines of the present, and an eventual untimely departure, in an unconventional manner.

Playing an ivory tickling version of Girl Talk, Burns mashed up the former’s “Fire To The Rain” with the latter’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
