Tango Machina, Cicada Radio, Set To Play Pop Break Showcase At Wonder Bar

The Pop-Break.com team that brought Only Living Boy, Those Mockingbirds, and Crobot to the Boardwalk in February will return to The Wonder Bar on Thursday night with the Monroe, NJ-based Grit-Rock revivalist outfit, Tango Machina, and the Tiny Giant Artist Collective affiliate Cicada Radio, an Indie-Punk collective from Kearney.

Staten Island’s own Mix Hop collective, Aquavibe, will also be on hand to release its debut full-length What Is Mix Hop?

Doors open at 8 p.m. with a $5 cover charge to be paid upon entrance.

Be on the look out for Tango Machina’s long, long, long awaited and greatly anticipated EP which has been concurred by the band to have a title that is Jamie Foxx-themed…SIMGE’s best guesses, Steamin’ Willie Beamen, Staff Sergeant Sykes, or LaWanda.  Check out the first demo to be released from the record, “The Combination Is Explosive,” below:

NOTE: Scope Tango Machina’s interview with Pop-Break staffer, and SIMGE contributor, Jeanne Crump here.
