Status Green Hangs It Up, Will Play One Final Show

Asbury Park’s Status Green has been one of the premier outfit’s on The Boardwalk since its inception in back in 2005, and after a eight-year run that spawned a 2009 EP, The Essentials, sandwiched between a pair of full-lengths, Greatest Hits Volume One (2006) and a lauded 2010 LP titled Cheep Sunglasses (2010) that earned the group top honors for Local Release, Pop-Band, and Live Performance at the 2010 Asbury Music Awards.

And on Monday morning the group announced its split from the scene via Facebook (check it out below), but did promise a final farewell show this Summer…details on that coming soon:

At this time we would like to thank all of our family, friends, and fans who have supported us for the past seven years. Status Green has been an amazing experience, we couldn’t have done it without you and for that we are grateful. We have decided to close this chapter in our lives but before we go we will be announcing one final show. The show will take place this coming summer, location and date to be announced. This is going to be a very special night and we hope to share it with everyone. Thank you again for all of your support, we love you all.
