Athletics Announce Debut Release w/Innovative Vinyl Package And A Celebratory Show @ Freehold VFW

The Asbury Park-based soundscape construction crew that is Athletics recently announced the birth date of its debut release, Who You Are Is Not Enough, as Tuesday June 26th, and is scheduled to host a celebratory gala for this record of lengths unknown on June 9th at the Freehold VFW with such local favorites as Gates, Vasudeva, Batten Down The Hatches, Company Company, and a very special, yet to be named guest.  Doors for the all ages event op en at 6 p.m. with a $10 cover to be paid upon admission.

The album will be out on the InTheClouds Records label in an innovative touch sensitive sleeve said to leave a ghostly handprint on the cover upon being grasped, only to have said print fade away on release.  The InTheClouds organization is developing into the go-to label for avant-garde vinyl packaging, as the group recently put out the reissue of The Gay Blades’ debut full-length, Ghosts, in pop-up-book-like casing.
